Beirut National Museum was built between the 1930 and 1937. This museum has a collections that reflect the extraordinary wealth of an exceptional heritage. The heritage was enriched with the some excavations that were carried on by some anthropologist nearby. The museum is entirely renovated by the National Foundation for Heritage between 1995 and 1999, and now the building has become two-story space of impressive proportions open to the public.
You can enjoy the collection fron the From Prehistory to the Bronze Age in this museum, starting from the Hellenistic period to the Roman period, from the Byzantine period to the Mamluk period, and all of these period has influence Lebanon and the way of living. You can enjoy the magical and didactic tours, especcially when seeing the master pieces of the collection, the Sarcophagus of Ahiram (10th century. BC).
