Christine Winarni Puspayanti (34), a woman from Semarang who officially became wife of Martin Eric Stephen, admitted there is no problem with the status of her husband, who was convicted for life in cases of smuggling 8.9 kg of heroin.
“I wanted to marry Martin because I love him. I am happy, he’s my soul mate. As a Christian, I also need to get married,” she said on the sidelines of a reception hall wedding in Prison Class II A Denpasar, on Monday.
Christine also said Martin is convinced that marrying God-given way to him, so he summoned the courage to step into the path of marriage.
